San Diego, California - USA

San Diego is the eighth-largest city in the United States and is located on the Pacific coast, immediately adjacent to the Mexican border. The city attracts approximately 35 million visitors per year and is known for its mild year-round climate, natural deep-water harbour, extensive beaches and long association with the United States Navy.

The city is the seat of San Diego County and is the economic centre of the region, with major economic drivers including military and defence-related activities, international trade and manufacturing. It is also the home of the International Data Links Society and has previously hosted the annual Symposium on two occasions.

Our venue for 2018 is the Town and Country Hotel, which is located in the Heart of San Diego's Mission Valley. The Society has secured the majority of the venue's 1,700 square feet of exhibition space, and will be accommodating our delegates in the recently refurbished Royal Palm Tower.

Outside of Symposium hours, San Diego has lots to offer visitors. For those delegates who have not visited the city previously, please see the video below from the local Tourism Authority, to give you a feel for the local culture.
